In order to hold cash in the Earnin app, instead of just accessing earnings, you’ll need to set up direct deposit with Earnin or transfer funds from an external bank. If you see that “cash” is grayed out in your account, it means you haven’t set up direct deposit or deposited any money into Earnin.
