If we determine that an error did occur in a transaction, we may process a chargeback on your behalf to the merchant. A chargeback is the reversal of a transaction on a consumer’s credit card as a result of a dispute initiated against a transaction.
The dispute investigation process takes between 2-3 business days. During this time, we may contact you for additional information to help with our investigation and to determine whether a chargeback should be filed.
The merchant will have the opportunity to provide information that validates the transaction. If the transaction is deemed valid, it will be charged to your account again. If the merchant is unable to provide sufficient information, the dispute will be closed in your favor and you will not be required to pay those charges.
This chargeback process takes 30-90 days depending on the reason for your dispute. You are not required to pay the charges while a dispute is in progress.
