We ask our community members to send screenshots of banking info for the following reasons:
- to verify that the correct checking account is linked to the app
- to ensure that our credit and debit transactions are sent to the correct bank account
- to confirm that the community member reaching out is the owner of the Earnin account
- to validate ownership of joint bank accounts
Linking your bank allows us to:
- Deposit money directly into your account
- Verify your employment through your history of direct deposits
- Confirm your payday, so we know when to take the money back from your account
- Set your hourly rate, so we can calculate your earnings each day
We will never debit you more than you have cashed out (plus tips, if any).
