What is the difference between ACH and Lightning Speed?

ACH is a banking term that stands for Automated Clearing House. Transfers sent via ACH are referred to as standard speed.

The difference between ACH (standard speed) and Lightning Speed transfers is how fast your money arrives. Standard speed transfers arrive within 1 to 2 business days. Lightning Speed transfers arrive within minutes. For transfer arrival details, read How long does it take to get my transfers? 

 

Upgrade transfers to Lightning Speed

If you selected the standard speed option but want your money faster,  you can upgrade to Lightning Speed! 

Find the transfer confirmation tile on your homescreen, and tap “Get it sooner” 

After confirming the Lightning Speed fee and optional tip, your transfer will be on its way.
