Why are my earnings not updated or lower than expected?

There may be a few reasons why your earnings are not updating within the Earnin app. 

Are you working from home due to COVID-19?

We understand that many of our community members are now forced to work from home due to shelter-in place-orders across the country. Please visit our special COVID-19 FAQs for more information.

I have never seen my earnings updated.

  • If you use our Automagic Earnings feature:
    • If your GPS is turned off, we may have stopped receiving updates from your phone when you are at work. Check out our FAQ on how to improve GPS accuracy.
    • Automagic Earnings requires that you're working at a fixed work location. If your work type is unsupported, your earnings may not be updating. Visit ‘Work Info’ in the app settings to check the status of your work location.
  • If you send timesheets into Earnin:
    • Use the Add Timesheet button on your home screen to send us a photo or screenshot of your current timesheet. We’ll add your earnings within 10 minutes.

I have seen my earnings updating, but they stopped.

There may be a few reasons why your earnings are not updating within the Earnin app. 

  • If you use our Automagic Earnings feature:
  • If you are between your pay period dates and your next payday
    • Our goal is to make earnings as accurate as possible. The earnings you see in the app reflect the hours you have worked during the pay period that you have not been paid for yet.
    • Earnings captured after a pay period closes will be available after your next payday.
    • For example, if your pay period ends on Monday and you get paid on a Friday, earnings captured from Tuesday onward will not immediately show up on the Earnin app's home screen. Those earnings will become available and ready for Cash Out starting on Friday (your pay day).

There may be a few reasons why your earnings are not updating within the Earnin app. 

  • If you use our Automagic Earnings feature:
    • If your GPS is on, we may not be receiving updates from your phone when you are at work. Check out our FAQ on how to improve GPS accuracy.
    • Automagic Earnings requires that you're working at a fixed work location. If your work type is unsupported, your earnings may not be updating. Visit ‘Work Info’ in the app settings to check the status of your work location.
  • If you send photos of your timesheets into Earnin:
    • We may need an updated screenshot of your timesheet
    • Your timesheet may not be valid. Check your email for details on why your timesheet wasn’t valid and check out our FAQ on timesheet requirements.
