Follow

Objective

To make sure your phone GPS is accurate for the Automagic Earnings feature.

Procedure

For Android devices

Please check the following:

  1. Open your device's Settings app
  2. Tap Location
  3. Tap the On/Off switch to turn location Off
  4. Restart your device (power off and on)
  5. Open your device's Settings app
  6. Tap Location
  7. Tap the On/Off switch to turn location On
  8. Choose location mode: High accuracy

Once you’ve done that, please open the Maps app on your phone to determine if your location is being reported accurately.

For iOS devices

Please follow this:

  1. Please try this at work to try to increase your device's GPS performance:
    1. Turn phone off/on
    2. Turn location services off/on
  2. Perform a GPS reset:
    1. Double-tap the home button. This will bring up tile sized images of all currently running apps. Swipe the screens of all apps upwards to close them.
    2. Then go into settings and turn on Airplane Mode.
    3. When you've done that go to Settings > General > Reset. Then choose reset network settings (you will need to re-enter your wifi passwords)
    4. Once your phone has been reset go to Settings > Location Services and then turn it off and on again.
    5. Then go Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services> Setting Time Zone and click OFF
  3. Once done, please open the Maps app on your phone to verify if your location is being reported accurately. If it is not, it’s possible that there is something wrong with your installation of iOS and/or the hardware in your device. Please check the section on increasing accuracy on Apple’s official support page.
