How quickly will I receive my paycheck?
- As soon as we receive your routed paycheck amount from your employer, we’ll pass it along to your Earnin-linked bank account at Lightning Speed.
- Please make sure your Earnin linked debit card is up to date!
- If Lightning Speed fails, your paycheck will be sent at standard processing time. More info on standard processing time can be found here.
How do I switch my paycheck to Deposit Account?
- When your upgrade has been approved, you’ll be given a virtual account and routing number. Just give that account and routing number to your employer/ HR department and specify the amount of your paycheck to route to switch your paycheck. That’s it!
- Note: Your Deposit Account pay period Max is $1000 or up to 80% of the paycheck amount you direct to Earnin - whichever is less. To get your highest possible pay period Max, route your full paycheck to Deposit Account.
- You may also search for your employer in the search bar. If you're unable to find your employer in the list, you may get a direct deposit form to give to your employer. More info on getting a direct deposit form here.
- When your first routed paycheck amount arrives in your Deposit Account, you’ll officially be upgraded to Deposit Account!
Why didn’t I receive my paycheck?
- Getting you your paycheck on time is our #1 priority. Before reaching out to our support team, please first confirm the following items with your employer to allow our team to best support you.
- Confirm your employer sent your paycheck on time
- Confirm the effective date your employer sent your paycheck along with the amount of your paycheck
- Once you have this info, please reach out to our support team via direct message in the Deposit Account community Facebook group so we can help you ASAP. For your privacy, please don't share your SSN, home address or DOB with support.
- Below are some reasons you may not have received your paycheck yet:
- Your employer didn’t process payroll on time. This means we haven’t received your routed paycheck amount yet and are waiting for your employer to send it to us so we can send it to you.
- The debit card linked on your Earnin app isn’t valid (expired, reported lost/stolen) and needs to be updated
- Your linked bank account has been closed or frozen
Where does my paycheck go?
- Your routed paycheck amount first arrives in your Deposit Account.
- Earnin will deduct any transfer out and tips from the paycheck amount you routed to your Deposit Account. Any remaining funds will then be sent to your Earnin-linked bank account using Lightning Speed.
Will I get my paycheck on my normal payday?
- Yep! Depending on when your employer processes payroll, you could even receive your paycheck up to two days early on Deposit Account!
Will I always get my paycheck early?
- Getting your paycheck early depends on when your employer processes your payroll. As soon as we get your routed paycheck amount from your employer, we’ll immediately pass it along to you!
How do I get my paycheck early?
- Getting your paycheck early depends on when your employer processes payroll and sends it to Earnin.
- Sally is paid on Fridays as her pay date. Sally’s company runs payroll on Wednesday, and the information is sent to us on Wednesday, showing a paycheck for Sally that is effective for her Friday pay date.
- Banks typically hold this transaction until its effective date (Friday).
- We won’t wait until the effective date to transfer Sally the remaining funds of her paycheck, we would transfer it immediately, giving her early access to the remainder.
What happens if my paycheck isn’t enough to cover my transfer outs and tips?
- If there isn't enough money coming into your virtual account (direct deposit amount) to cover all debits we will then switch those debits over to your linked bank account to post via same-day ACH on your expected payday.
- If there's still an insufficient balance on your bank account to cover all our debits your Earnin account will be temporarily blocked from cashing out
- Your pay period Max will decrease by $100
- You will not see any increase in your Pay Period Max until Earnin is able to successfully debit
- Once Earnin is able to successfully debit your transfer outs + tips, you’ll start seeing increases to your pay period Max again after 6 weeks.
- Please reach out to support if we made an error debiting your bank account!
Why is my paycheck less than I expected?
- Earnin will deduct any transfer outs and tips from the paycheck amount you routed to your Deposit Account. Any remaining funds will then be sent to your Earnin-linked bank account using Lightning Speed.
- If the amount that shows up in your Earnin linked bank account is less than you were expecting, it’s most likely because your transfer outs and tips were taken on payday.
