How do I reopen my account?

You are not able to re-open an account once it has been fully closed, but you can always create a new EarnIn account.

To create a new EarnIn account:

  • Make sure that the app and your phone are updated to their latest version.
  • Open the app, tap Get started

If you’re using the same bank information as a previous account, there will be a 7-day waiting period unless the previous account has been deleted and there are no pending debits.

Why does the app say I have an existing EarnIn account?

Or that my bank account is already in use?

This means the bank information you're trying to add is already being used or was used in the past with another EarnIn account.

If you haven’t used EarnIn before, you might be sharing a bank account with someone using EarnIn. EarnIn does not support two accounts using the same bank information for security purposes.

 

Cash Out Link customers

If you recently closed your account and had Cash Out Link, your account may go through a 90-day Pending Closure period before it is fully closed. During this time:

  • Your Cash Out Link access is turned off.
  • You can’t take overdrafts or receive direct deposits.
  • Repayments, returns, or dispute-related credits may still process.

If you change your mind during this 90-day Pending Closure period, contact Customer Support. In some cases, your account may be reactivated before it reaches final closure.

Once the 90-day period ends and the Lead Bank account is fully closed, it cannot be reopened. At that point, you would need to create a new EarnIn account and complete onboarding again.

If your previous account had Cash Out Link and still has a remaining balance or is within the 90-day Pending Closure period, you may need to wait until:

  • The balance is fully repaid, and
  • The closure process is complete before creating a new account with the same bank information.
