Your Max is the total amount you can transfer with Cash Out. It’s personalized and may change each pay period based on your account activity.
There are two types of Max:
Pay Period Max
Your Pay Period Max is the total amount you can transfer between paychecks. This includes:
Base Max
Your core limit based on factors like:
- Keeping a positive bank balance
- Your paycheck routing history, both the amount and consistency.
- On-time repayment history
- Using fewer cash advance apps
Extra Max
You may be able to increase your Max by completing milestones in the app.
Examples include:
- Referring a friend -> Learn more
- Using features like Early Pay -> Learn more
- Receiving a Max Boost from a co-worker -> Learn more
Extra Max is temporary and may expire or change at any time.
Daily Max
Your Daily Max is the most you can transfer in a single day. This amount resets daily at midnight ET.
Residents of Washington, D.C. and New York have a Daily Max of $100. In all other states, the Daily Max is up to $150, subject to available earnings. Check the EarnIn app for your specific amount.
If you’ve already reached your Daily Max, you may still see an option in the app to transfer more.
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a Daily Max of $150.
- Have already transferred your full Daily Max for the day.
- Have at least $50 in available earnings remaining after reaching your Daily Max.
- Have used Lightning Speed on your previous transfer.
- it’s been more than 2 business days since your repayment was successfully repaid.
If eligible:
- You may see a prompt like “Need a little extra cash today?”
- You can transfer additional funds the same day
- This option may be available more than once per pay period, but only once per day
This feature allows you to access more of your available earnings sooner, but all transfers are still limited by your Pay Period Max.

- Tips are optional: Tips do not affect your Max or eligibility
- Limits still apply: All transfers must stay within your available earnings, Daily Max, and Pay Period Max
- Eligibility may change: EarnIn may adjust limits and eligibility at any time

New members may start with a lower Max. As you continue using EarnIn and build history, your Max may increase over time.
