Starting in June 2025, Max Boosts must be approved by a co-worker.
If you request a Boost from a co-worker who uses EarnIn, and they approve it, you get a $75 increase to your Pay Period Max. If transferred out, the $75 is included in the amount repaid to EarnIn on payday.
Between paychecks, you can accept 1 Max Boost and grant up to 2.
Why is this changing from how Boost worked in the past?
We’ve increased the Max Boost amount from $50 to $75, thanks to a more reliable system. Originally, Max Boost relied on friends to confirm you were working and had more earnings available. But over time, Max Boost participation strayed from the program’s original intent. The updated Max Boost now enables boosts from your co-workers—making them more trustworthy and aligned with how the program was meant to work.
Additionally, we’ve added flexibility to the feature. You can now request a Max Boost without reaching your Pay Period Max first, and you can grant Max Boosts if you have EarnIn Card or Early Pay.
How to request a Max Boost
- Once you’ve hit your Max, you’ll see a Request Max Boost link (if eligible)
- The app will generate a shareable link you can send to a co-worker via text, email, your company intranet, etc.
- Once your colleague approves your request, your Pay Period Max will increase by $75
- If we’re able to successfully debit your linked bank account on payday, you can request another boost next pay period.
If you share your Max Boost request with someone who doesn’t have an EarnIn account, they’ll be prompted to sign up for EarnIn when they open the link. Once their account is set up, they can confirm your Max Boost.
Who is eligible to request a Max Boost?
To request a Max Boost, you must meet these conditions:
- Pay Period Max: Your current Pay Period Max must be at least $100.
- Cash Out history: You must complete at least one successful transfer and repayment to be eligible.
- No outstanding issues: If you have any unresolved repayment issues (e.g. an unpaid debit) or a bank connection issue, you won’t be eligible until those are cleared.
- Regular EarnIn account: EarnIn Card holders and Early Pay customers can’t request Max Boosts, but they can grant them.
If you don’t see the Max Boost feature available in the app, please review the conditions above.
Note: Boosts do not affect how EarnIn calculates your Pay Period Max.
Max Boost won’t work correctly if:
- Your link was sent to someone who isn’t a coworker.
- We’re unable to verify that you work at the same company (i.e. parent/subsidiary company)
