I received a paper check instead of a direct deposit. What should I do?

If you received a paper check due to a payroll system malfunction or another situation outside of your control, we may be able to update your account as a one-time courtesy so you can request funds.

The following requirements must be met:

  • Your account is fully set up, and you have already completed at least one request with a successful repayment.
  • There are no unsuccessful repayments on your account in the past 90 days.
  • Your pay schedule has not changed.
    • If it has changed, we’ll need to wait for your next direct deposit to post so your pay schedule can reset correctly.
  • If your check deposit is less than $100, please send a copy of your most recent pay stub.

Updates from your bank may sometimes be delayed. For faster processing, please have the following available before contacting Support:

  • A copy of your check deposit
  • Confirmation that recent EarnIn repayments have posted (not pending)

Please note: If you regularly receive paper checks instead of direct deposits, you won’t be eligible to use EarnIn.
