In July 2025, EarnIn updated Cash Out and Balance Shield in response to new regulatory guidance in the following states:
- Colorado (CO)
- Maryland (MD)
- Massachusetts (MA)
- Wisconsin (WI)
Tipping is no longer available for Cash Out and Balance Shield in CO, MD, MA, and WI. Customers in these states see fixed Lightning Speed fees based on the amount transferred. Tipping will continue to be available in other states where permitted.
