Repayments
As you spend on the EarnIn Card, your available funds will reduce. The ‘Available’ number that you see in the app is made up of the available cash in your Secured Account (“Cash”) plus the available earnings you have earned in your current pay period. If there are funds in the Secured Account, they will be reserved for repayment as you spend on the Card. If there are no funds in the Secured Account, you can also access your available earnings using the Card.
There are two options for repayment: Autopay and manual repayment.
How does AutoPay for EarnIn Card work?
EarnIn Card balances are paid back automatically if you enroll in Autopay. Twice a month, on the 1st and 15th, EarnIn will transfer reserved funds from the Secured Account automatically.
If your card balance is higher than the amount of funds in your Secured Account, then the full amount that’s in your Secured Account will be used as payment.
If it happens that your Secured Account does not have enough reserved funds to cover the payment due, Autopay will schedule a payment from your linked bank account instead. You will always have at least three days notice if a payment is scheduled from your linked bank account. If you wish to cancel the payment, you can turn off Autopay in the EarnIn app by 8 a.m PT (11 a.m ET) one business day prior to the scheduled debit date.
The idea is you can set autopay, then forget it. We’ll take care of the logistics to make sure your balance is paid down on time.

Making Purchases
Why did the gas station charge me $100?
Gas stations might put a hold of $100 to ensure that you have enough funds on your account to pay for the actual spending.
The hold of $100 will remain until the transaction is settled, which may take a few days. If your available balance is not enough to cover the authorized hold amount, your card may be declined. Don’t worry, you can still use your EarnIn Card to prepay the gas amount at the register before pumping.
If this is not the case, please contact our support team through chat or by calling the contact number at the back of your card.
What should I choose when making purchases, credit or debit?
Choose “credit” when you’re making purchases. If you’re using an ATM, the card will be treated as a debit card, just enter your four-digit pin.
Can I get cash back or rewards when I use my card for purchases?
Not yet. However we're always looking for ways to make this possible, so please check back with us in the future.
Can I pay my bills using the EarnIn Card or Deposit Account?
You can make payments by entering your EarnIn Card information through your associated bill provider online. Currently, you can’t use your account and routing number for bill pay.
Can I use my EarnIn Card outside of the US?
You can use EarnIn Card outside of the U.S., but you won’t be able to access the app to review card activity and account information. You can call the phone number on the back of your card to connect with an EarnIn customer advocate.
ATM fees and access
Will I have access to ATMs? What is the fee?
Yes! You can get a cash advance at any ATM with a Visa logo using your ATM PIN.
There is a $2.99 ATM fee each time you use your EarnIn Card to get cash. Third-parties may also charge a fee for ATM use.
There’s no limit to the number of ATM cash advances you make in a day. However, the maximum amount that you can withdraw using your EarnIn Card is $300 per day.
