To help our community better manage their bank balances, Earnin introduced Balance Shield Alerts.
Like the rest of our app, Balance Shield Alerts are available to our community without mandatory fees. The Balance Shield Alerts feature will send an email and push notification to the Community Members when your bank balances fall below an amount that they set ( $0-$400). This feature stays on indefinitely unless the Community Member turns it off.
Balance Shield Transfer outs:
Community Members can also enable Balance Shield Transfers, which will preemptively transfer out up to $100 of your earnings if your bank balance falls below $100. Balance Shield Transfers will need to be turned on manually after each trigger of a Balance Shield Transfer out. However, setting a voluntary tip of at least $1.50 triggers Earnin to automatically keeps Balance Shield Transfer turned on.
So be sure to keep hours available by adding your electronic timesheets regularly (or by keeping your app permissions and location on if your earnings are added automatically).

Balance Shield Transfer out is subject to Community Members' available earned wages, Daily Max, and Pay Period Max requirements. Actual Transfer out amount is dependent on Community Member’s available earnings and will not occur if they have reached their Pay Period Max. Community Members are responsible for monitoring their Daily Max and Pay Period Max to ensure that the Transfer out application of Balance Shield is available to them.
