Objective
Troubleshoot Earnin app on an Android device when it crashes multiple times even after a normal power cycling procedure (turning on/off device).
Procedure
Note: If steps below doesn't work, please Google the steps for your specific device
- Clear recent app:
- Press and hold the home key.
- To close all recent applications, tap the Clear all icon at bottom-right.
- There could be 2 ways to clear app cache and data:
- Method 1
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings > Apps > Application manager.
- Tap the Earnin application in the default list or tap MORE > Show system apps to display preinstalled apps.
- Tap Storage > Clear data > then tap OK.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Method 2
- From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Tap Settings > Apps.
- Tap the Earnin application in the default list or tap Menu icon > Show system apps to display preinstalled apps.
- Tap Storage > Clear data > then tap OK.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Method 1
- Uninstall Earnin app:
- Tap Google Play.
- Search and select Earnin from the search result.
- Tap Uninstall.
- Power cycle an Android device:
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the device.
- Repeat step 1 to turn the device back on.
- Reinstall Earnin app and relaunch:
- Tap Google Play.
- Search and select Earnin from the search result.
- Tap Install.
- Tap Earnin app to relaunch and try again.
