This feature lets you set aside money for yourself (for any goal, expense, or rainy day) directly inside the EarnIn app.
You can deposit any amount between $1-$100 per day into your Tip Jars / Savings Jars, split across up to 5 jars. You can withdraw your money at any time, for any reason. The maximum combined balance across all jars is $2,000 at any time.
There are no fees to use this feature (0% Annual Percentage Yield, $0 monthly fee). You're responsible for any overdrafts or fees charged by your own bank.
Is my money protected?
Yes. Your funds are FDIC-insured up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, and per ownership category. For more information, visit FDIC.gov.
The bank holding your funds depends on when you enrolled:
New customers (enrolled after 6/24/26): Your Savings account is held at Lead Bank, Member FDIC. You can access the account terms at Lead Bank Customer Account Terms.
Existing Tip Yourself customers (enrolled before 6/24/26): Your account is held at Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC. This service is provided through a custodial account deposit agreement between you and Evolve Bank & Trust. You can access the account terms at Evolve Bank & Trust Customer Account Terms and Evolve's Privacy Policy at getevolved.com/privacy-policy.
When will my deposit post to my jar?
Deposits are processed each business day. Funds may not be available for withdrawal for up to 3 business days. Delays may occur for specific transactions.
You can check the status of any transaction under My Activity in the Save (or Savings) tab.
When will my withdrawal arrive in my checking account?
Withdrawals requested on weekdays follow this schedule:
- Before 12 p.m. ET: arrives same day (afternoon)
- Between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET: arrives next day (morning)
- After 8 p.m. ET: arrives next day (afternoon)
Withdrawals do not process on weekends or holidays. Requests made on those days post the next business day.
My AutoSave rule overdrafted my account. Can I get a refund of the bank fee?
You're responsible for ensuring you have enough funds in your linked account before AutoSave runs. If an automated deposit was charged outside of your set AutoSave schedule, please contact support so we can review.
Are there any transfer reviews?
We review account and transaction activity at various times, including when you initiate a transfer. This review checks for suspicious or illegal activity and whether your activity complies with EarnIn's Terms of Service. It may result in delayed, blocked, or canceled transfers, account interruption, withheld funds, funds applied to a negative balance, or funds seized to comply with a legal process. For more information and details, visit earnin.com/privacyandterms
What happens to my account if I cancel EarnIn?
Before closing your EarnIn account, you'll see an in-app prompt to withdraw all funds from your account first. Withdrawals typically take 1-2 business days to arrive in your checking account.
If your checking account has been closed, contact our support team. We can process a paper check withdrawal of your remaining balance.
What if I just stop using the app without closing my account?
If your account is inactive for a certain period of time, applicable law may require us to report your funds as unclaimed property. If that happens, we'll try to reach you at the address on file. If we can't locate you, we may be required to send your funds to the applicable state.
The timeframe before funds are reported varies by state but is typically 2-5 years.
For new customers (Lead Bank / Savings): Savings Jar funds are held at Lead Bank, Member FDIC. There is no monthly service fee and the funds do not earn interest. For more information, visit the Lead Bank Customer Account Terms.
For existing Tip Yourself customers (Evolve Bank): Tip Yourself is a 0% Annual Percentage Yield and $0 monthly fee service. Your Tip Yourself Account and any Tip Jars are not Savings Accounts. Other restrictions and/or third party fees may apply. For more information, visit earnin.com/tos.
