FAQ - Card Fees

What fees are associated with the EarnIn Card? 

Your EarnIn Card has no interest on transactions. The Monthly Access Fee and ATM Fee listed below will apply to your EarnIn Card account. The One-time Processing Fee and Penalty APR listed below may apply to your EarnIn Card account. 

Description Amount & Frequency
One-time Processing Fee

This one-time $5.00 fee covers the cost to produce and ship your first EarnIn Card. It will be debited from your linked bank when you request the EarnIn Card.


If you sign up for AutoPay, we will discount this charge to $0.

Monthly Access Fee

The $12.99 fee will be charged as a transaction to your EarnIn Card on the first day of each month for fees due in the prior month.


If you sign up for AutoPay, we will discount this fee to $2.99/month. Autopay must remain on for the entirety of the month. 

ATM Fee A $2.99 fee will be charged as a transaction to your EarnIn Card each time you use the ATM to take a cash advance.

This APR may apply to your account if you are more than 365 days late in making your required payment and we send you notice 45 days before we apply this APR.

 

How are the fees collected?

The one-time Processing Fee (if applicable) will be debited from your linked bank account at the time that you request the EarnIn Card.

The Monthly and ATM Fees will be charged to your Card like a transaction and added to your Card balance. It will be collected at the time that you make a payment on the Card (manually or via autopay).

 

Why is the Monthly Access Fee amount dependent on my Autopay status?

We want to provide our community members with the best experience possible. Enrolling in Autopay helps ensure your payments are consistent and on time, which can also help you safely build your credit history. The discounted fee for using Autopay is our way of helping you develop positive financial habits.

 

How long will the Penalty APR Apply?

If the Penalty APR is applied, it will apply to any outstanding balance that is more than three hundred sixty-five (365) days late until the balance is paid in full.

 

What if I want to dispute a fee?

Will I be charged a fee if I am actively deployed in the military?

Please reach out to our customer support team via chat or contacting the number located on the back of your EarnIn Card to request a review of SCRA benefits and we’ll share next steps. Once verified, you will not be charged a fee for the duration of your active duty period.

 

What if I no longer want to have an EarnIn Card? 

Please reach out to our customer support team via chat or phone to have a representative assist with your account closure.
