FAQ - Live Pay Payroll Integrations

What happens when I select EarnIn in my payroll platform?

If your employer’s payroll platform has partnered with EarnIn (“Integrated Payroll Platform”), you can now set up EarnIn's Live Pay directly from your payroll platform — the same place where you'd normally add a bank account for your direct deposit. Selecting EarnIn opens a short setup flow where you create your EarnIn account, verify your identity, and set up your Deposit Account and EarnIn Card.

Who are Integrated Payroll Platforms?

An Integrated Payroll Platform is a payroll platform that your employer uses to process payroll and direct deposit, and which has partnered with EarnIn to make Live Pay available through that platform.

Live Pay is currently available through Workday. We're actively working to bring Live Pay to more payroll platforms, check back for updates as we expand.

Is the EarnIn app required?

Yes. The setup you complete inside your payroll platform gets your EarnIn account, identity verification, and EarnIn Card started. Afterward, you'll need to open the EarnIn app to link a personal bank account and verify your income to use  Live Pay fully. This also unlocks the rest of your EarnIn experience, including Cash out or Cash out Link if you qualify.

Are there any fees included?

The EarnIn Card has a monthly fee of $2.99 or $12.99 depending on your Autopay enrollment.

I started setting up my direct deposit but did not finish, what do I do?

Go back into your payroll platform (or the EarnIn app, if you got that far) and pick up where you left off. If you've since changed jobs or are no longer with the employer you started this with, let us know so we can help you sort out the right next step.

My company uses an Integrated Payroll Platform but I do not see EarnIn listed?

EarnIn is available by default to employers on Integrated Payroll Platform — employers can choose to opt out if they'd rather not include it. If you don't see EarnIn listed, contact your employer to confirm if they have opted out.

I use a neobank/online-only bank (no physical branches), can I still use Live Pay?

A traditional bank account is required.

I'm already an EarnIn member, can I sign up for the EarnIn Card through an Integrated Payroll Platform?

Yes. Existing members can use the setup flow within the Integrated Payroll Platform sign up for the EarnIn Card; your existing access isn't affected by switching your direct deposit method.

Can my employer see my EarnIn account activity?

No. The Integrated Payroll Platform is only used to start the direct deposit switch. Your EarnIn account activity is private and isn't shared with your employer.
