Deposit Account community members enjoy an upgraded experience, this includes:
- A higher Pay Period Max (up to $1000).*

My employer issued me paper checks while I transitioned my direct deposit to my Deposit Account. How will this affect my account?
Some employers will issue their employees paper checks during the transition period when their direct deposit is being rerouted to their Deposit Account.
If you receive an overdraft fee as a result of EarnIn debiting your bank account or a pay period Max decrease, please reach out to our community advocates via our live 24/7 support so we can review your EarnIn account.
Additionally, you may want to confirm with your employer that there are no issues with your next paycheck and that it will be deposited into your Deposit Account.
Are there any fees to use Deposit Account?
No. EarnIn will not charge a fee for routing a portion or all of your direct deposit through your Deposit Account.
Can I make the EarnIn bank account my new checking account?
No. Your Deposit Account through EarnIn is not a checking account. Your Deposit Account will not allow any third-party debits and any attempts will be blocked.
Deposit Account requires that you create a virtual account with EarnIn through our bank partner Evolve Bank & Trust, as well as maintain a checking account with your EarnIn-linked bank.
Will upgrading to Deposit Account affect my credit score?
Nope!
Opening and using a Deposit Account with EarnIn will not impact your credit score. There is no credit check and we do not report your information to the credit bureaus. EarnIn is required to collect your SSN while opening a Deposit Account to comply with federal regulations.
I accidentally entered wrong info. How do I change it?
When signing up for Deposit Account, you’ll have the option to re-enter information if you entered something incorrectly.
After three entries with incorrect information, you won’t be able to retry.
Contact us via in-app chat if your info doesn’t look correct.
Why wasn’t I approved for a Deposit Account?
EarnIn needs to verify your identity to upgrade you to Deposit Account. If you weren’t approved, it’s likely we weren’t able to verify your identity based on the information you provided.
Federal law requires us to obtain, verify and record information for community members who open a Deposit Account.
Some common failure reasons are:
- Address isn’t a permanent residential address or is missing info (eg. unit number)
- Last name recently changed
- There was a typo in your SSN or date of birth
If your identifying information is correct, confirm that your account information is entered correctly. Make sure to only use digits without any spaces or characters.
Why do you need my personal information, e.g. Social Security Number?
In order to complete your upgrade to Deposit Account, federal regulation requires that we collect your full, nine-digit Social Security number and other personal info to verify your identity. This will not impact your credit score in any way.
For more info on how we protect your info, please refer to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
