What are the perks of routing my direct deposit through EarnIn
Routing your direct deposit through EarnIn offers an an upgraded experience, this includes:
- A higher Pay Period Max (up to $1000).*
- Access your paycheck up to two days early for $2.99 or use the standard transfer to deliver your paycheck up to 1 business day after your payday for free.
How much does my direct deposit need to be for my Max to increase?
To be eligible for a Max increase your direct deposit must amount to at least $1000 per month.
For example, if you are paid weekly, your direct deposit must be at least $250. If you are paid biweekly or semi-monthly - $500.
Customers who route their direct deposit through EarnIn are also eligible for $2.99 Lightning Speed transfers. For all transfer fee information, see Lightning Speed fees and details.
Are there any fees to route my direct deposit to EarnIn?
A flat fee of $2.99 is applied if you enable Early Pay which sends your paycheck up to 2 days early. The standard transfer option, which takes one business day to process, routes your direct deposit to your linked bank account for free.
Will routing my direct deposit affect my credit score?
Nope!
Opening and using a Deposit Account with EarnIn will not impact your credit score. There is no credit check and we do not report your information to the credit bureaus. EarnIn is required to collect your SSN while opening a Deposit Account to comply with federal regulations.
My employer issued me paper checks while I transitioned my direct deposit to EarnIn. How will this affect my account?
Some employers will issue their employees paper checks during the transition period when their direct deposit is being rerouted through EarnIn.
If you receive an overdraft fee as a result of EarnIn debiting your bank account or a pay period Max decrease, please reach out to our community advocates via our live 24/7 support so we can review your EarnIn account.
Additionally, you may want to confirm with your employer that there are no issues with your next paycheck and that it will be routed correctly.
What happens if my paycheck isn’t enough to cover my transfers and tips?
If there isn't enough money coming in via your routed direct deposit to cover all debits we will then switch those debits over to your linked bank account to post via same-day ACH on your expected payday.
How do I stop routing my direct deposit through EarnIn
You have full control over where you deposit your paycheck. Contact your employer to update your direct deposit details.
You can continue using EarnIn to transfer out as long as your linked bank account is receiving direct deposits. Keep in mind that Lightning Speed transfers will return to the standard price of $3.99. Standard speed (ACH) transfers will still be free.
If you wish to close your Deposit Account permanently, contact support. You won’t be eligible to sign up for Deposit Account or EarnIn Card again if you do so.
