FAQ - Card Waitlist

Who is eligible to join the Waitlist?

Both new and existing EarnIn community members are eligible to join the waitlist for the EarnIn Card, with a few exceptions. The steps required to move forward may vary slightly depending on whether you’re just getting started or already using other EarnIn products.

To be eligible, you must also be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number, and currently not residing within the following states: Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. Additional terms and conditions

If you're already a community member and meet all the EarnIn Card qualifications, you’ll see the invite to sign up for the EarnIn Card directly in your app without needing to join the waitlist.

If you’re an existing Early Pay community member, you’ll be invited to sign up for EarnIn Card once you’ve signed up for Cash Out and we get your first qualifying direct deposit (meeting the threshold amount) – no waitlist needed.

What is the Waitlist Dashboard?

The in-app Waitlist Dashboard is your personalized hub to monitor your progress. Here, in the app, you can find a list of action items needed to move forward and view your current position on the waitlist.

Where can I check my Waitlist position?

Your current position in the waitlist is visible directly within your Waitlist Dashboard. This allows you to track how your actions impact your place in line. You will see your spot update in real time!

What happens if I don’t take any actions to move up the Waitlist?

If no actions are completed, your spot on the waitlist will remain unchanged. Specific action items are required to be eligible for EarnIn Card enrollment. Without completing them, you won’t be able to proceed.

Is there a way to move up the Waitlist?

Yes! Completing all the listed steps within your Waitlist dashboard is the best way to move up. While there isn’t a “fast pass” to the top, taking quick action helps signal your interest and readiness.

How long will I be on the Waitlist?

We’re working hard to invite new members as quickly as possible. Although we can’t share an exact timeline, completing all tasks ensures you’re ready when the next round of invites goes out.

The best way to ensure you’re on the waitlist for as little time as possible is to complete the suggested next steps in the EarnIn app within the Waitlist dashboard.

Can I remove myself from the Waitlist?

This feature isn’t available directly within the app. If you’d like to opt out of the waitlist or no longer wish to receive the EarnIn Card, please contact our support team. They’ll be happy to help remove you from the waitlist.

What should I do once I’ve completed the Waitlist steps?

If you’ve completed all the steps on your waitlist dashboard and received at least one qualifying direct deposit into your newly-opened deposit account, you’re all set. You’ll be ready to get off the waitlist when the next round of invites go out.

What is a qualifying direct deposit?

A qualifying direct deposit is a recurring deposit into your bank account from a reliable income source. Paychecks from your employer or payroll provider are most often used as qualifying direct deposits.

Bank transfers, mobile check deposits, Pension payments, Social Security benefits or peer-to-peer payments (like Venmo or PayPal), or one-time payments such as tax refunds do not count as qualifying direct deposits.

What is the minimum direct deposit required to qualify for an EarnIn Card?

EarnIn Card requires minimum qualifying direct deposits of at least $1000 per month (or $500 every 2 weeks, or $250 every week, depending on your pay period.)

What should I expect after getting off the Waitlist?

Congratulations! Once you’re off the waitlist, simply confirm your personal information in the app and we’ll ship your new card out. You should expect to receive it in the mail no later than 7-10 business days, after you receive your shipping confirmation email. If there’s a delay, please contact support.

What happens if I reside in a state where the EarnIn Card isn’t available?

If you reside in a state where the EarnIn Card is currently unavailable, we’ll notify you in-app and offer alternative options.
Here’s how it works:

  • You’ll see the message:
“Unfortunately, EarnIn Card isn't available in your location right now. But good news: you’re still eligible for Early Pay to get faster access to your paycheck. Would you like to proceed?”

  • If you choose “Exit”, you’ll return to the Cash Out home screen and be removed from the waitlist.

  • If you select “Get Early Pay”, you’ll be guided to set up Early Pay, and you’ll also be removed from the waitlist.
