Earn rewards for inviting friends to join EarnIn! There are two ways to refer someone:
- Find the referral icon on the top left of the home screen.
- Go to Settings and tap Refer a friend.
How do referrals work?
EarnIn offers referral incentives when someone you refer signs up using your referral link/code. Incentives are deposited into your Tip Yourself account.
When you refer someone, they choose their EarnIn products: Cash Out and/or Early Pay.
Your referral gets a Tip Yourself deposit reward for each product they sign up for.
If they choose Cash Out:
- You'll get your reward via a Tip Yourself deposit when a new community member you refer transfers out.
If they choose Early Pay:
- You'll get your reward via a Tip Yourself deposit when a new community member’s direct deposit lands in their deposit account.
After activating your referral link, you have 45 days to complete the referral actions above before the incentive expires.
How do I sign up using a referral code?
Here’s how to sign up with a referral code:
- Download the app from the app store (Android or iOS).
- Follow the prompts to sign up.
- On the "How did you hear about us?" screen, choose your answer from the dropdown list.
- If the referral code is not already entered, tap "Have a referral code?" and enter your referral code.
- Double-check your entered code, then click CONTINUE.
- Proceed with setting up Tip Yourself to complete your account setup.
Where can I view my referral and their status?
You can check out your referrals and their status by following the steps below:
1. Tap the “Earn $” referral icon on the top left of the home screen (or tap Refer a Friend in the Settings menu).
2. Tap the clock icon at the upper right corner of the Refer a Friend screen.
3. Review past referrals, existing referrals and their status.
Make sure you have the latest app version to see the icon on the Refer a friend screen.
I referred a friend but did not receive the referral reward, why?
EarnIn rewards you for every person who signs up with your link/code after they set up Tip Yourself and complete a transfer (Cash Out) or set up Tip Yourself and receive their first direct deposit to their Deposit Account (Early Pay).
Check with the person you referred to make sure they’ve done the steps above, then check your Tip Yourself account again to see if you got paid.
I signed up using a referral link/code but did not get my reward, why?
If you are not seeing the referral reward in your Tip Jar, you might be missing one of the following qualifications:
- It’s your first time joining the EarnIn community and you completed the EarnIn account setup
- Set up Tip Yourself
- Completed your first transfer or received your first direct deposit to your Deposit Account

Can I opt out of referral rewards or withdraw my consent?
Yes. Referral rewards are optional, and you’re in control. If you no longer want to participate, you can stop sharing your referral code or link.
If you want to withdraw your consent or prevent EarnIn from using your personal information in connection with referral rewards, you can submit a request to privacy@earnin.com.
